SIA BALTICFLOC INTRODUCES LIFE_PHIPP PROJECT TO PARTICIPANTS OF NETWORKING EVENTS OF LIFE PROJECTS

Networking with other LIFE projects is one of the most important activities in implementing the LIFE Programme project. The aim of these measures is cooperation, the possibility of establishing a network of familiarity and assistance. Each project is unique, but all of them share a desire to preserve nature around us and a view of our limited natural resources. In networking activities, it is possible to meet similar thinking project implementers, to share information on the project, experience, knowledge and, in the most successful cases, to develop cooperation.

The LIFE PHIPP project has so far participated in two types of activities:

  1. OVERALL REGIONAL PROJECT MEETINGS.
  2. MEETING WITH SPECIFIC PROJECTS AND PURPOSE.

OVERALL REGIONAL PROJECT MEETINGS

Regional project meetings are organised on the side of LIFE capacity building projects and are usually national (Latvian LIFE projects) or regional (Baltic projects). Up to now, LIFE PHIPP has participated in 2 joint regional project meetings. 4th the Baltic LIFE Networking event, with the trip of all Baltic LIFE projects to the SIA BALTICFLOC plant. During the tour, the participants were shown an existing production site and presented the LIFE PHIPP project. Each member then presented its own LIFE project and its development. The second networking was the meeting of the LIFE Programme projects implemented in Latvia. At this time, a tour was organised on the site of the LIFE CRAFT project (“Climate Responsible Agriculture in Latvia”). All the Latvian LIFE projects and their development were then presented. The purpose of the meeting of the LIFE Programme projects in Latvia was to inform people about project progress and future, challenges, sharing experience and speaking up-to-date issues and challenges related to the implementation of the LIFE Programme projects.

MEETING WITH SPECIFIC PROJECTS AND PURPOSE

THE global pandemic COVID – 19 introduced changes to networking. As far as it was no longer possible, the appointments were transferred to the online environment. It has also benefited as there is an opportunity to exchange experience with international LIFE projects. Each LIFE project is different, sometimes similar projects cannot be found in one region, so online is an opportunity. Such as meetings with representatives of the LIFE Hypobrick project. We met in 02.12.202020. to meet each other and establish first contact, present each other with the project, its progress, and the innovation we are trying to introduce. During the call, we agreed on the next appointment with already-ready prototypes on both sides.

For the time being, the greatest international experience of presenting the LIFE PHIPP project has been the final presentation of the LIFE iCirBus 4 Industries project. This meeting brought together 29 participants and stakeholders and presented mainly the results achieved by the iCirBus 4 Industries project.

The aim of networking is to share the experience gained in the implementation of project activities, and this was exactly the goal of the LIFE PHIPP networking event with the representative of the Latvian LIFE ALFIO project. The unifying element for both projects is technology transfer, which was also the main theme of the networking event.

PLANNED NETWORKING

The LIFE PHIPP project is intended to reach 200 project participants to be presented with the project. In the meantime, 80 other project participants have been reached, so networking will continue throughout the project, and we are open to different types of cooperation. The closest networking planned is the Lithuanian LIFE Project Information Day.
