SIA Balticfloc actively participated in international construction industry exhibitions, until exhibitions all over Europe were interrupted by Covid19 epidemiological restrictions. However, after a two-year break, international construction industry exhibitions resumed. The first exhibitions, in which the company participated, were construction industry exhibitions in Baltic countries – “House I 2022” in Latvia and RESTA 2022 in Lithuania.

INDUSTRIAL SYMBIOSIS TO STRENGTHEN INDUSTRY COOPERATION

A seminar was held within the Vidzeme Innovation Week, where the project by CLEANTECH LATVIA was presented to the listeners.

Balticfloc with its experience story and a presentation “Industrial symbiosis in Vidzeme, experience story” also participated in the seminar. The company introduced participants with the products currently produced by the company, which produces by recycling waste paper.

CURRENT ENVIRONMENT TOPICS OF THE LIFE PROGRAMME

On April 7, a seminar for writers of LIFE projects was held. It provided an insight in current environment topics of the LIFE programme. This seminar is a part of the cycle of events organised by the LIFE Support Unit for the purposes of helping project applicants to prepare successful project applications.

During the seminar, Balticfloc shared its experience story about the LIFE project LIFE_PHIPP and its development.

EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE IN LIFE PROJECTS

In September, the LIFE PHIPP project was announced online on the Lithuanian LIFE information day and at the CEPLAFIB project closing conference.

An information day is an important event for capacity building of the LIFE programme. 115 interested persons participated in the activity bringing together existing project implementers, provided practical information to project starters and inspired entrepreneurs to create new projects.

NEW DEADLINE:

THE PERIOD OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LIFE PHIPP PROJECT HAS BEEN EXTENDED

The Covid-19 restrictions have affected processes all over the world and also the implementation of the project, which was quite challenging in the pandemic conditions. Closing of borders in Europe and difficulties in delivery of international goods affected the planned deliveries of equipment for the production line, thus delaying its installation and dependent project activities.

Taking into account savings on funds within the project, an extension of the period of implementation until 30 June 2023 was requested.

INSTALLATION OF THE PRODUCTION LINE HAS STARTED

The process of installation of a prototype trial production line has started, which is in accordance with the production line configuration scheme: assembly of equipment units, automation works, provision of equipment connections and adjustment of the equipment in accordance with technological drawings.

PRODUCTION LINE:

PRODUCTION LINE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN SUPPLIED

Within the framework of the project, a public procurement was successfully concluded in 2019, as a result of which a supply agreement was concluded with SIA ELEKTRO VILKS on acquisition of the project’s production equipment. The production line will consist of 14 separate units of equipment, supply of which has been completed successfully. We will start the year 2021 with the line assembly works and testing of the equipment.

NETWORKING WITH LIFE HYPOBRICK

Thanks to the recommendations of the Close-to-Market team of the LIFE Programme, the LIFE PHIPP project was able to meet online with a similar type of project LIFE HYPOBRICK in December 2020.

The main aim of the meeting is to establish first contact and future cooperation between the LIFE HYPOBRICK project and the LIFE PHIPP project.
