DEMO HOUSE:

THERMAL INSULATION MATERIAL “BFLEX” INCORPORATED IN DEMO BUILDINGS

The LIFE project LIFE_PHIPP will create two demonstration houses in Latvia, which will be insulated with the innovative thermal insulation material made from low quality waste paper and high quality hemp fibre. The main objective of the demonstration houses is to evaluate the effectiveness of the insulation material using energy efficiency assessment methods. Data will be recorded and collected over a 12-month period.

THERMAL INSULATION MATERIAL:

WE ARE LAUNCHING PRODUCTION TESTS FOR THERMAL INSULATION MATERIAL

The pilot production line has been completed and the equipment has been tested for safety. The production of the innovative thermal insulation material has therefore been quickly launched simultaneously with process testing of the production line. We aim to develop the optimal product formulation with the best possible technical properties – density, thermal conductivity, air and sound permeability.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERMIT:

ENVIRONMENTAL PERMIT FOR THE START OF PRODUCTION HAS RECEIVED

Balticfloc has received a Category B environmental permit for the operation of a new pilot production line. With the permit, testing of the production line and development tests of the innovative thermal insulation material have started, working on the perfect product recipe.

Balticfloc already holds a category B environmental permit as it has been manufacturing various products from recycled waste paper for several years. However, the document had to be supplemented by the specifications of the new production line, which was set up as part of the LIFE project.
